Glass and aluminum facades are durable, but they are not maintenance-free. Regular inspection and cleaning allow small issues to be addressed before dirt, blocked drainage, aged sealants, or loose hardware affect appearance or performance.
Clean with compatible methods
Use approved water, detergents, tools, and access systems for the actual glass coatings and metal finishes. Avoid abrasive pads, harsh chemicals, blades, and uncontrolled pressure washing that can scratch surfaces or damage gaskets and sealant joints.
Inspect critical components
Check perimeter seals, structural and weather silicone, gaskets, drainage outlets, flashings, panel fixings, glass edges, doors, windows, closers, hinges, locks, and signs of corrosion or water staining. Record locations and changes over time.
Plan preventive work
Create inspection intervals based on exposure, height, use, warranty requirements, and manufacturer guidance. Keep access equipment, spare materials, safe replacement procedures, and approved repair methods available before urgent work is needed.
